This year's 2005 IDEA AWARDS
in conjunction with Australian design magazine "INSIDE" saw 94
brilliant minds behind their design projects short listed over a total
of seven categories. The awards highlight the crème de la creme of
young designers in the fields interior and product designs in
residential, commercial, retail, hospitality, ECO, product and concept
design. With the winning designs rightfully taking home first prize,
(Church Residence, pic above) highlight winners included Buro North
who's portable surf shower provides surfers with a warm cooler sized
shower on the go and retail winner, ColourGraphic (pictured below) with
its Alice in Wonderland themed showroom. Product winner designer Ross
Didler's winning furniture design was in the form of a slick, angular
armchair with a broad and long term market appeal in its form.
